Here's How Much Snow Bayside Got Wednesday

BAYSIDE, NY – The season's first snowstorm has descended upon New York City, with Bayside receiving a significant amount of snowfall overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, Bayside received 5.5 inches of snow by 5 a.m. on Thursday.

This total is less than the 12 inches forecasted for the city before the storm arrived on Wednesday. But it is still more snow than the city saw all last winter.

The forecast for the rest of this week is as follows:

• Thursday night: Partly cloudy overnight, low of 20F.
• Friday day: Partly cloudy skies, high near 31F.
• Friday night: A mostly clear sky, low of 16F.
• Saturday day: Partly to mostly cloudy, high near 29F.
• Saturday night: Mostly cloudy skies, low near 23F.
