In DC, Santa Shot with Pellet Gun While Delivering Toys

Volunteers step in to continue toy giveaway.

A man dressed as Santa Claus was shot in the back with a pellet gun Monday while delivering toys in Washington, DC.

Here is the report from our Georgetown Patch site. 

According to a Washington news photographer who was interviewing the victim at the time of the shooting, the man in the Santa suit was struck in his upper back. He was transported to a nearby hospital with the pellet still lodged in his shoulder.

The from a nearby home, at the 22nd annual Barry Farm toy drive, according to WUSA9. Volunteers stepped in to continue the toy giveaway, the station reported.
