Little Neck's Stop & Shop Slated To Close
Stop & Shop plans to shut down its Little Neck location, but no closing date has been set, a spokesperson told Patch.
LITTLE NECK, QUEENS — Stop & Shop plans to shut down its Little Neck location, but no closing date has been set.
The supermarket chain is slated to close its location at 249-26 Northern Boulevard, after the store was deemed "underperforming," according to a Stop & Shop spokesperson.
Although the company has not determined a closing date for the Little Neck store, the location is expected to stay open through 2021.

"Stop & Shop conducts reviews of its business performance on a regular basis, and this store was identified as underperforming relative to financial expectations," Stefanie Shuman, external communications manager for Stop & Shop, said in an emailed statement to Patch. "Stop & Shop intends to operate the store through 2021. An exact closing date has yet to be determined.”
Stop & Shop has nearby locations in Bayside and New Hyde Park.
