COLLEGE POINT, QUEENS — Elected officials in Northeast Queens will join together for a livestreamed holiday tree lighting ceremony in College Point this weekend.
State Sen. John Liu, Assembly Member Daniel Rosenthal and City Council Member Paul Vallone have partnered with the Coastal Preservation Network, A Better College Point and the parks department to host a tree lighting about 5 p.m. Saturday in Hermon A. MacNeil Park.
A limited number of people were invited due to a prohibition on large gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic, but a livestream of the event will be available on Liu's Facebook page.
