A record 15,000 spectators showed up to Fort Totten on Wednesday night to celebrate Independence Day with music and fireworks.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A record 15,000 spectators showed up to Fort Totten on Wednesday night to celebrate Independence Day, according to City Council Member Paul Vallone.
The Fifth Annual Independence Day Celebration at Fort Totten featured a 15-minutes fireworks show by Grucci that was launched from a barge on Little Neck Bay.
MM Rock Camp, Chicken Head Rocks and Phil Costa & the Something Special Big Band performed during the event.

The event was co-hosted by Vallone, the Queens Chamber of Commerce and the Bayside Historical Society.
