EAST FLUSHING, QUEENS — The Parks Department got its ducks all in a row after a successful rescue mission Friday morning to save 10 ducks that had been dumped in a Queens pond.

Urban park rangers teamed up with the animal rescue group They All Want to Live to rescue the ducks from a pond in Bowne Park, where they were struggling to make it to shore, according to a parks department spokesperson.

"We are happy to share that we successfully rescued all 10 ducks from Bowne Park and brought them safely to shore," Urban Park Ranger Bonnie McGuire said in a statement.

"While we celebrate this rescue, we want to emphasize that dumping domesticated animals into our parks are detrimental to their well-being, and not every duck or pet is as fortunate as these birdies. Let's all do our part to keep our animals safe, happy, and healthy. "
