Queens Jewish Community Council Honors Jerry Lippman
Jerry Lippman will receive the 2018 Visionary award which will be presented on August 21st at its 50th Anniversary Gala.

The Queens Jewish Community Council (QJCC) has named Jerry Lippman the publisher of the Long Island Jewish World, the Jewish Tribune, and the Manhattan Jewish Sentinel as the recipient of the 2018 Visionary award which will be presented on August 21st at its 50th Anniversary Gala.
"Jerry is a very humble man who does many good deeds for the Jewish community without fanfare or recognition," said Cynthia Zalisky, the Executive Director of The Queens Jewish Community Council. "At this historic milestone in the history of the QJCC it is especially fitting to recognize a man that has done so much for all that we value so highly."
Mr. Lippman was born and raised in Brooklyn, he attended Yeshiva day school and high school. He is a graduate of Bernard Baruch College and earned an MBA from New York University. His career began in the publication world in community news with the Williamsburg News and the Coney Island Times in the mid 1970's.
In 1977, Lippman launched the North Brooklyn News, a weekly community newspaper. Two years later, he acquired the Long Island Jewish World and, shortly thereafter, the Jewish Tribune of Rockland and Westchester counties. In 1995, the Manhattan Jewish Sentinel became the third publication within the Lippman newspaper family.
Mr. Lippman has served as the president of the American Jewish Press Association. Be it politics, synagogue life, communal issues, Israel, culture, or reporting on the establishment, the Long Island Jewish World, the Jewish Tribune, and the Manhattan Jewish Sentinel has covered it all in the award winning publication.
