BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The hot pot restaurant Shabulixius is closing its doors after less than a year on Bell Boulevard.

The Japanese eatery will shutter at the end of August due to the "public health hazards of COVID-19," according to a Facebook post.

"As a chef owner, this was the most difficult decision to make in my life," the post said. "I want to thank all of you for supporting us, for becoming friends with us, and for celebrating life's most precious moments with us."
