Woman Found Dead Behind Bush In Bayside: Reports

Investigators believe the 29-year-old Long Island woman may have been strangled, according to news reports.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A dead woman was found behind a bush in Bayside on Friday, and investigators believe she may have been strangled, according to police and news reports.

Police found Vanessa Pierre, 29, on the ground in her pajamas along the Horace Harding Expressway just east of Bell Boulevard, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.

A sweatshirt was wrapped around her neck and medics found bruising that indicated she may have been strangled, sources told the Daily News.

Surveillance video appears to show a man in a white Dodge Challenger dragging the woman from his car to the curb, the New York Post reported.

Pierre lived in Hempstead, Long Island, and worked as a nurse practitioner in a nursing home, the Daily News reported.
