2 Hospitalized, 1 Dead After Shooting In Brooklyn Apartment: Cops

BROOKLYN, NY — One person is dead and two are in the hospital after a shooting in a Brooklyn apartment building on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Police responding to reports of someone shot in an apartment at the Broadway building, found near Bartlett Street, found an unconscious man shot in the head lying in the hallway just before 3:20 p.m., police said.

They then noticed a 29-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man inside an apartment, both with gunshot wounds. The woman had been shot in the right arm and the man was shot in his torso, police said.

The man found lying in the hallway, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The woman and man in the apartment were both brought to the hospital in stable condition.

There were no arrests as of Friday morning.
