40-Year-Old Shot Dead Steps From His Home In Bed-Stuy: Cops
Cops found Kamaal King with multiple gunshot wounds on Lewis Avenue on Thursday, police said.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A 40-year-old man was shot dead steps from his home in Bed-Stuy on Thursday night, according to police.
Cops found Kamaal King with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso in front of 144 Lewis Ave. just after 9:30 p.m., according to police. King lived less than a block away in the Roosevelt Houses, records show.
Emergency responders took King to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There were no arrests as of Thursday morning.
The homicide came just hours after officials in Brooklyn revealed an indictment against 18 members of a Bed-Stuy gang headquartered in the Roosevelt Houses. Police did not say whether King's death is related.
