61-Year-Old Bed-Stuy Man Dies Following Car Crash 1 Block From His Apartment
Allen Crews, 61, of Monroe St. in Bed-Stuy, crashed his car into parked a parked SUV and was found suffering chest pains, NYPD said.
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A 61-year-old Bed-Stuy resident was found suffering chest pains after crashing his car into a parked SUV one block away from his apartment early Thursday morning, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) said.
An investigation revealed that Allen Crews of 77 Monroe St., "was driving a blue 2004 Mercedes Benz traveling southbound on Franklin Ave. when he veered to the left and struck a 2015 Toyota Rav4, which was parked and unoccupied," on Monday Sept. 29, at around 5:30 a.m., detectives said.
Crews was found suffering from chest pains at the scene of the crash and was transported to Brooklyn Hospital where he was pronounced dead, NYPD said.
