Discover a local JazzFest and Fish Fry in a restored 1800's Victorian Brownstone building, located in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn. presents a salon style acoustic sound room concert series that offers a fish fry buffet. A home feel, shoes off, with an authentic jazz vibe. Imagine retreating back to a differefnt time and spend the evening in an intimate setting. Experience the enjoyment of live Jazz Concert, a Southern Fish Fry Buffet and Open Mic that will delight your palette. Included in the experience is an Upright Grand Piano, such as the ones once used to create some of today's classic Jazz tunes on Pan Alley Row Grouped alongside other acoustic style instruments in what we call THE ROOM. During the 1930 perhaps even earlier, one didn't have to go to Manhattan for the Jazz scene Brooklyn had one of it's own. Bedford Stuyvesant had the largest Jazz neighborhood in Brooklyn which held many venues that housed jazz greats like Thelonius Monk, Randy Weston, Miles Davis, Max Roach, Hank Mobley and others. All eventually changed, and jazz club fizzled out in favor of a different generation of music.
Debbie McClain, owner of Sankofa Aban Bed and Breakfast is seeks to revive the local jazz scene of the past along with partner Eric Lemons.

You're invited to a magical evening of music as Debbie and Eric takes you behind the scene of this undercover jazz venue. You can get there early to meet the performers, and as you take a seat for a jazz fest experience of a lifetime, �these two host will present you with today's best Jazz Artist.
Included in your evening will be a traditional Southern fish fry buffet. Cooked on site in a traditional way.
