BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Bed-Stuy's got a new bar courtesy of a long-standing neighborhood business owner and a lady named Barb.

Barb's, a new cozy Bed-Stuy bar, opened its doors this week at 380A Marcus Garvey Boulevard near Hancock Street, owners Allison Stuart and Even Thomas announced on Instagram.

"Our new spot has tons of throwbacks to the old Bedford Hill," owners posted. "So there will always be a place to have a great drink and soak up the nostalgia of days gone by."

The cash-only bar features 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. happy hour every day with $5 wines, draft beers and a special Old Fashioned, owners wrote.

The business' first Yelp reviewer wrote, "It's hard to explain how good the hospitality is at Barb's."

"Also," added Daniel T. "The beer is, in fact, ice cold."
