Bed-Stuy and Ocean Hill, Here's Your September Community Board Meeting Schedule

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn's Community Board 3 (CB3), which represents central and east Brooklyn communities, has announced its fall schedule of meetings.

The district governed by CB3 includes the neighborhoods of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Stuyvesant Heights, and Ocean Hill.

The board's next four meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations:

• General Public Meeting: Monday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m., at the basement level of Restoration Plaza; 1368 Fulton St.
• Transportation, Sanitation & Environment Committee: Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m., at the board office at 1360 Fulton St., Ste. 202.
• Housing & Land Use Committee Meeting: Wedensday, Sept. 14 at 6:15 p.m. at the board office at 1360 Fulton St., Ste. 202.
• Health & Social Services Committee Meeting: Monday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m., at the board office at 1360 Fulton St., Ste. 202.

Community boards are made up of approximately 50 members of the public. They advise New York City Hall on issues of local concern and help address residents' needs. (Here's a list of all the CBs in Brooklyn.)

At general meetings, the full community board votes on matters that have come before CB3's various committees. Those committees, whose meetings are also open to the public, host their own meetings once a month.
