Bed-Stuy Pharmacies To Start Giving Coronavirus Vaccines
Six pharmacies in Bed-Stuy are now offering COVID-19 vaccine appointments to those 65 and older.
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Pharmacies in Bed-Stuy are among more than 250 pharmacy locations across the city that are now administering COVID-19 vaccines to seniors.
Six neighborhood pharmacies are offering vaccination appointments to anyone 65 and older as part of a federal program.

- Rite Aid Pharmacy at 960 Halsey Street, Brooklyn, 11233
- Walgreens/Duane Reade at 756 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, 11206
- Walgreens/Duane Reade at 755 Broadway, Brooklyn, 11206

All six pharmacies are offering the Moderna vaccine, according to the city's COVID-19 Vaccine Finder map.
The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program will deliver 26,500 vaccine doses a week to Walgreens, Duane Reade, Costco and Rite Aid pharmacies across New York City, officials announced Thursday.

"Pharmacies are a trusted part of our infrastructure, particularly for seniors who rely on them for medications and other services," Dave Chokshi, the city's health commissioner, said in a statement. "These additional doses will be a lifeline for so many city residents."
Other vaccine sites are also open around Bed-Stuy, including at city hospitals and medical clinics. Eligible New Yorkers can book vaccine appointments online at vaccinefinder.nyc.gov.
