Bed-Stuy Teen Killed In Same Building As Older Brother 6 Years Ago

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A teen was fatally shot in the head in the Risley Dent Towers complex in Bed-Stuy just a few feet from where his older brother had been shot to death in 2009, according to multiple reports.

Javon Craig, 19, was found unconscious and unresponsive with a gun wound to his head at the housing complex at 1605 Fulton St., cops said. Police responded to the 911 call of gunfire at around midnight, the NYPD said.

There have been no arrests in Javon's case, and it is still under investigation, cops said.

Javon's older brother Rasheed was shot to death with an assault rifle in the lobby of the same building just one day before his 21st birthday, Javon's mother, 52, told the New York Daily News.

Craig lived a few blocks away on Halsey Street, and his aunt lives in the Risley Dent Towers, according to police.

"This is my second son that got killed at Fulton St.,” Zeblyon said. I got one more son left and I'll be damned any more of my family, we're not going out like that no more."

Rasheed's case remains unsolved.
