Bed-Stuy Tree Giveaway This Saturday

MillionTrees NYC is hosting another tree giveaway in Bed-Stuy this Saturday, so get ready to green your neighborhood.

The event, hosted by the Pratt Area Community Council, will kick-off on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. and will last until 1 p.m. at 241-45 Gates Ave. 

These have proved popular in the past, so it probably makes sense to go to the website and reserve a tree now. 

Trees being given away at the event include the American Plum and American Hazelnut, as well as the Serviceberry tree. Pagoda dogwoods are also available though the registration for that variety is closed as of 4 p.m. Tuesday.

As a recent "green map" showed, Bed-Stuy could use a few more trees, so head on over and get one for free this weekend!
