Brooklyn Braces for 'Oppressive' Heat, Humidity This Weekend
Sunday could be summer's hottest day so far.

The forecast for this weekend, in a word? Ew.
“After a few comfortable days throughout the region, heat and humidity will be in control through the weekend and into next week in New York City,” predicts AccuWeather meteorologist Michael Priante.
He explains that a high-pressure system sliding eastward across the U.S. is pushing a surge of warm, humid air in the direction of NYC.

Saturday’s temperatures are expected to reach 83 degrees, amid some scattered thunderstorms.
And on Sunday, we could get the hottest day of summer so far, with a high of 90 degrees. (Which, thanks to that surge of humid air, will feel more like 100.)

“Conditions this weekend will be oppressive,” says Priante.
So brace yourselves, throw back some H20 and book a spot on the NYC Beach Bus, already.
