WATCH: Brooklyn's Famous Dancing Crossing Guard Still Dancing Through Heat Wave

"As a matter of fact, it makes me want to dance even more."

Today in heartwarming, heat-related TV news that is “guaranteed to put a smile on your face,” Pix11 catches up with Ester Hines, the dancing crossing guard from Brooklyn who’s launched a thousand YouTube videos in her seven years of service — and is still dancing through the heat.

“As a matter of fact, it makes me want to dance even more,” she tells Pix11. ”Oh, yeah.”

Hines doesn’t care that it’s 90-odd degrees outside with a heat index of over 100. Hines doesn’t care that the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory, a hazardous weather outlook and an air quality alert at the same damn time. Hines doesn’t care that Mayor Bill De Blasio has urged New York City residents to avoid strenuous outdoor activity and remain in air-conditioned areas at an afternoon press conference.

“That’s not stopping me, because I get energy and my source from God,” she tells Pix11 with a twirl and a “hallelujah.”

Hines has previously stood guard at Avenue L and Coney Island Avenue in Midwood and Ocean Avenue and Glenwood Road in East Flatbush near Ditmas Park.

But according to Pix11, she’s now working the crosswalks at Atlantic Avenue and Saratoga Avenue in Bed-Stuy. So if you haven’t seen Brooklyn’s famous dancing crossing guard live in action, you know where to find her.

Until then, we’ll leave you with this video of Hines doing her thing in colder weather, like an eternal ray of Brooklyn sunshine. Amen.
