During the 1930 perhaps even earlier, one didn't always go to Harlem for the Jazz scene. Brooklyn had one as well. Bedford Stuyvesant had on of the largest Jazz neighborhood in around. Bed Stuy held many venues that housed jazz greats like Thelonius Monk, Randy Weston, Miles Davis, Max Roach, Hank Mobley and others. Brooklyn's Paramount Theatre among others held major Jazz Concerts. All eventually changed, and jazz club fizzled out in favor of a different generation of music

Debbie McClain, owner of Sankofa Aban Bed and Breakfast looked to revive the local community scene of the past when she met Eric Lemons the accomplished string musician and Co-Foundering partner for BrownstoneJAZZ They value the authenticity and selectiveness, when deciding who to feature and when.
A fun loving atmosphere of live jazz for everyone, where you’re invited to spend a magical evening of music as Debbie and Eric takes you behind the scene of this undercover jazz experience. You can get there early to meet the performers, and as you take a seat for a jazz fest of a lifetime, with the right ticket.
