BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A fridge parked in front of a Bed-Stuy home comes with an offer seemingly too good to be true in these coronavirus days: "Free Food."

Fear not, it's legit.

The group Community Solidarity set up the Van Buren street fridge and stock it daily with plant-based groceries. They're no strangers to the neighborhood — in fact, they distribute food every Saturday at Herbert Von King Park — but their refrigerated charity has drawn attention as the coronavirus puts hunger at the forefront of New Yorkers' minds.
