Kings County Tennis League
The tennis program known as Kings county tennis league opening tennis up to a different demographic.

Bedford Stuyvesant’s public housing community “Marcy” was respectfully introduced to tennis through The King County Tennis League. The program originally found by McCasland a health professional working in Brooklyn hospital had a vision of living in New York and helping others since he was young, he believed that it was the responsibility of adults to keep children off the streets. After 10 year of a growing the tennis community the number of students tripled and so did volunteers.
Students who live in public housing have the opportunity to join Kings County Tennis League starting next year 2020 with their new Winter Tennis Program that will open soon. If a student would like to partake on the outdoor summer club, they can sign up for free lessons all summer long! With this opportunity being free of charge and fun for all ages it’s a no brainer to sign up today. The programs start at 9:30 am and ends at 12:00pm at any of the four sites Marcy, Tompkins, Sumner, and Jackie Robinson.
