Man Wanted In Connection With Bed-Stuy Fatal Shooting: Cops

The police are looking for 22-year-old Maurice Hennegan in connection with the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Neil Thompson last year.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man in connection with the fatal shooting of 38-year-old man in Bed-Stuy in September 2016, they announced Friday. Maurice Hennegan, 22, is wanted for questioning by the NYPD. Cops describe him as a black man who is 5-foot-six-inches and weighs 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police got the report of an assault on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 at around 7:24 a.m. at 164 Tompkins Ave. When they got to scene, they found Neil Thompson with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and a 64-year-old man with one gunshot wound to his torso, cops said. Emergency responders took Thompson to Kings County Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to police. The other victim was transported to Kings County Hospital where he was in stable condition.

The NYPD released a photo of Hennegan and are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
