Man Who Tried To Rape Woman In Bed-Stuy Alley Arrested, Cops Say
Leroy Hatcher lived just a few blocks from where he attacked a 62-year-old woman earlier this month, police said.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — The man who dragged a 62-year-old woman into an alleyway and tried to rape her earlier this month has been arrested, according to police.
Police announced over the weekend that they had charged Leroy Hatcher, 40, with attempted rape, a criminal sexual act, assault, sex abuse, forcible touching and criminal mischief for the Feb. 6 attack.
Hatcher is accused of coming up behind the woman while she was walking down Kosciuszko Street near Lewis and Stuyvesant avenues just before 6 a.m. and dragging her into a nearby alleyway, where he tried to rape her, police said.

The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries on her lip, hand and knee, police said.
Hatcher lived just a few blocks from where he attacked the woman on Willoughby Avenue, records show.
