MAP: Brooklyn Schools That Have Reported Coronavirus Cases
Patch is tracking all the Brooklyn public schools with confirmed COVID-19 cases, using data from the NYC Department of Education.
Update: As of Oct. 1, the Department of Education no longer sends out daily updates to reporters on coronavirus cases. Instead, the current "active" cases are put on a new DOE map at the end of each day. The map can be found here.

Most have reported just one case of COVID-19, and, in some instances, the individual with the virus had not been in the school building. Two facilities, including a daycare this week, closed temporarily after two cases were reported within seven days, in accordance with Department of Education protocol. They have both been reopened.
Patch is tracking all the Brooklyn schools with confirmed COVID-19 cases, using information sent to reporters by the Department of Education. Schools where individuals with the virus had not reported to the building are noted in the description, though the agency did not initially distinguish between those who had been to school and those who hadn't.

"While we continue to navigate the realities of a pandemic, there will be positive cases," the Department of Education said in a statement earlier this month. "We are putting people's health above everything else by quickly identifying and isolating positive cases to prevent further transmission."
