Motorcyclist Killed In Bed-Stuy Crash With Minivan, Cops Say

A 27-year-old man died after colliding with a minivan turning left at Tompkins Avenue and Ellery Street Saturday night, police said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A motorcyclist died after crashing into a minivan in Bed-Stuy late Saturday night, police said.

The 27-year-old cyclist slammed into a grey 2016 Honda Odyssey turning left across a bike lane on Tompkins Avenue at Ellery Street about 11:20 p.m., said police.

The biker was thrown from his 2015 Yamaha motorcycle and landed on the concrete, police said.

Medics rushed the biker to Bellevue Hospital but doctors were unable to save his life, said police.

The minivan driver stayed at the crash site and did not face criminal charges, police said.
