BROOKLYN, NY — Hundreds of New Yorkers ignored coronavirus restrictions at two packed parties in Brooklyn that were busted by the Sheriff's Office over the weekend.

Deputy sheriffs raided the "illegal bottle clubs" — which were just a few blocks from one another in East New York and Brownsville — within an hour early Sunday morning, according to the Sheriff's Office.

At the first, cops and sheriffs deputies found more than 200 people packed into the first floor and basement of a building on Pitkin Avenue, near Watkins Street, just before 3 a.m.

Many of the partygoers were not wearing masks and most were drinking alcohol, even though there was no liquor license for the location, according to the office.

A security guard, DJ and photographer who were working at the party were arrested and face various health code, liquor law and emergency order violations, according to the office. They were issued tickets to appear and released.

Just a half hour later, deputy sheriffs shut down another rave a few blocks away on Liberty Avenue near Alabama Avenue.

The officers found more than 230 people drinking and dancing in a "members only clubhouse," where they had gotten multiple complaints for an ongoing rave, according to the office.

Again, the partygoers were not wearing masks and there was no room for social distancing, the Sheriff said.

The club, which also didn't have a liquor license, was hit with health code and emergency order violations. The manager, Geradino Luis Abdiel, was arrested along with two promoters.

Abdiel was also charged for having brass knuckles and an illegal knife, according to the office.

The Brooklyn raves were among three New York City parties shut down that night.

Another rave in Queens with more than 165 people was busted on Grand Avenue around 12:45 a.m., according to the Sheriffs Office.
