Special Needs Student Hit by Car in Front of Bed-Stuy School: Report
A young girl attending P.S. 373 was struck by a car after school on Wednesday and hospitalized with injuries.
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN – A young girl was hospitalized after being struck by a car outside P.S. 373 on Hopkins Street on Wednesday afternoon, fire department officials confirmed on Thursday. She was taken to Woodhull Medical Center for treatment, but officials could not elaborate on her condition.
The victim, described by DNAinfo as a special needs student, was reportedly bruised and crying after the incident, which also involved another woman who was struck by the same vehicle and hospitalized as well. Her condition also remains unknown.
P.S. 373, also known as the Brooklyn Transition Center, serves grades 8 through 12 and has a current enrollment of 382 students, according to the Department of Education.

School officials notified families and have been providing ongoing support to the community after the incident, a DOE spokesperson confirmed.
