Tell The City How To Upgrade Lafayette Gardens Playground
The city is accepting ideas for a potential reconstruction of the Bed-Stuy playground.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Lafayette Gardens Playground might soon be getting an upgrade, and neighbors can tell the city what it will look like.
The Bed-Stuy playground is one of four projects the city's Parks Department has opened up for comments through their "Community Input Meetings," meaning they are gathering feedback for a possible renovation.
The first meeting was held this week through Zoom.

"Before we re-design or rebuild a park, we ask for feedback from stakeholders in the community," the department writes. "We want to understand how our capital project can help this public space better serve the neighborhood."
Neighbors can also share their ideas online through July 11, according to the department.
