These Are The Bed-Stuy Spots Participating In Restaurant Week

Two neighborhood restaurants, and dozens of others nearby, will have to-go deals starting this week.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Neighbors in Bed-Stuy looking to upgrade their lunch and dinner options this week just got a boost.

New York City's Restaurant Week, which started Monday, includes a record-number of outer-borough options, including dozens of eateries near Bed-Stuy.

The "Restaurant Week To Go" model offers $20.21 lunch and dinner meals for takeout and delivery through Jan. 31.

"Restaurants and restaurant workers need our support now more than ever, so it was important to us that all eateries across the five boroughs had the opportunity to participate in this program aimed at increasing local support," Fred Dixon, president and CEO of NYC & Company, which organizes the annual event, said in a statement.

Of the 78 Brooklyn eateries participating this year, only two are found within Bed-Stuy. But another 30 or so are available in surrounding neighborhoods including Crown Heights, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Bushwick and Williamsburg.

Last year, only 12 Brooklyn eateries total made the list for restaurant week, a number so low that Park Slope started its own tradition to highlight the borough's best eats.

To further support restaurants, the platforms Seamless, Grubhub, BentoBox, Bbot and Tock have agreed to discount commissions or waive delivery fees.
