VIDEO: Bed-Stuy Café Robber Tackled To Ground By Customer
He stole $400 in cash from the café register, and a customer pushed him to the ground and gave the money back to a café employee.
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Cops are looking for a man who stole around $400 in cash from Hong Kong Café in Bed-Stuy, they said. Witnesses reported to police that on Monday, Feb. 13, the man entered the café, reached over the counter and took the money from the cash register.
As the man tried to leave the store, a customer at the café wrestled him to the ground and took the money back, police said. The customer gave the money back to the café employee, and the suspect fled northbound on Franklin Avenue, according to the NYPD.
Police describe the suspect as a black man. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, black hooded sweater and blue jeans.
