2 Accused Of Attempted Burglary In Katonah
Police said one of the men was also in possession of a controlled substance.
KATONAH, NY — Bedford police responded Thursday to a burglar alarm at 27K Jewelers which is at 27 Katonah Ave. When they got there, officers found someone had attempted to enter the business by damaging the front door.
A brief investigation located two men at the Katonah Metro-North Train Station where they were taken into custody, police said.
One of the men was also in possession of a controlled substance, according to authorities.

Kevin J. Alvarez, 19, of Mount Kisco, was charged with third-degree attempted burglary and third-degree criminal mischief, felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Hugo A. Lopez-Ramos, 19, of Mount Kisco, was charged with third-degree attempted burglary, a felony.

The pair was released without bail and scheduled for appearances in the Town of Bedford Justice Count Jan. 8.
