BEDFORD, NY — The polls have closed and the early vote counts are in. Here are the unofficial results in the 2021 Bedford primary elections.
Bedford Town Supervisor race:
Current Town Supervisor MaryAnn Carr was defeated by Councilwoman/Deputy Town Supervisor Ellen Z. Calves to be named the Democratic candidate in the upcoming general election. Incumbent MaryAnn Carr was endorsed by the Hudson Valley Stonewall Democrats.

Calves will now face Republican challenger Don Scott in the general election.
“I am honored to have won the primary to be the Democratic candidate for Bedford Town Supervisor, “ Calves said in a victory statement on social media. “Voters carefully considered both candidates and I am proud of our team, and theirs, for running positive campaigns.”

Westchester County Clerk race:
Incumbent Timothy Idoni appears to have fended off a challenge by Yonkers City Councilperson Shanae Williams in the race for Westchester County Clerk with a number of absentee ballots still outstanding. Idoni had the backing of Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
