KATONAH, NY — 'Tis the season for giving back to your community. There are a number of ways that you and your family can help out and help others.

Every day through Christmas, Patch will be highlighting a way you can provide compassion and resources to those in need.

Volunteer New York! makes it easy to find ways to help — through donations, supporting nonprofits and even volunteering at home.

Today's opportunity is Food Pantry Volunteers. The Community Center of Northern Westchester is looking for people to volunteer to assist with its food pantry.

Volunteers will work alongside one or two others sorting donations and organizing food and other items. Any age, from teens to retirees, is welcome.
