5 Entertaining Reasons To Get (Safely) Out Of The House

As live entertainment slowly returns to the Hudson Valley, social distancing, mask wearing and common sense remain on the program.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Pandemic-related restrictions are being eased across the region, allowing small audiences to once again attend film, stage performances, exhibits and concerts. Here are a few of the best reasons to venture out of the house to enjoy a show. Safety remains the top priority, so we also added a few virtual ways to enjoy a night out without leaving home.

FILM: Some Kind of Heaven — The Pelham Picture House's busy schedule of film discussion, festivals and premieres has been curtailed by the coronavirus (at least in-person), but it's good to smell popcorn popping in the lobby once again. Screenings of the documentary run now through March 18. The film is shown in the screening room, so tickets are limited. The Picture House 914-738-7337

EXHIBIT: Still/Live — The exhibit at the Katonah Museum of Art opens on Tuesday March 16. The new installation will explore a contemporary take on the still life. Admission is staggered and timed at the museum to help maintain social distancing. Katonah Art Museum 914-232-9555
