BEDFORD, NY — Pandemic-related restrictions are being eased across the region, allowing small audiences to once again attend film, stage performances, exhibits and concerts. Here are a few of the best reasons to venture out of the house to enjoy a show. Safety remains the top priority, so we also added a few virtual ways to enjoy a night out without leaving home.
RE-OPENING NIGHT: The LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Yonkers will reopen on Friday, March 26 after being shuttered due to coronavirus-related restrictions. The interactive play and learning center will maintain capacity restrictions and is so far only allowing limited admissions with advance reservations. COTTONTAIL PHOTO OP: Easter Bunny Pop-up - The Museum Village of Old Smith's Clove is still closed to the public due to pandemic-related restrictions, but the living museum will host an Easter Bunny Pop-Up on March 27, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Reservations are required for the family-friendly event where safely distanced photos with the Easter Bunny may be taken. Visitors will also be able to stroll the Village Green, watch an all-natural egg dyeing demo and play "find the bunny." Museum of Old Smith's Clove in Monroe 845-782-8248

SELF-GUIDED STORY WALK: The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats - Each page of the treasured children's book will be displayed along a path weaving through the library grounds. At the end of the reading and walking adventure, families will have a chance to take and make their own pretend snow with materials provided by the library. Runs now until March 27. VIRTUAL PERFORMANCE: Broadway Bound: A Trip Down the Great White Way - World renowned performer David Podles will showcase some of Broadway's best known musical numbers. Hits from Cats, Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Hello Dolly, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera and Annie will be included. EGG HUNT: Yonkers Stew Leonard's annual Easter Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza - The beloved grocery and dairy store is once again inviting children 8-years-old and younger to resume the popular Easter Egg Hunt, coloring contest and visit with the Easter Bunny. VIRTUAL PLANETARIUM: From Winter Constellations to Spring - This virtual planetarium show for kids ages 6 to 10 will explore the star clusters flanking Leo the Lion and a trick with the Big Dipper to find stars of different colors. The presentation also includes a question and answer period with experts. The planetarium escape takes place on Saturday, March 27 at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $5, but there is no charge for Hudson River Museum members. 914-963-4550
