An additional chance of snow is now in the latest forecast for this week in the Hudson Valley. That goes along with the National Weather Service issuing a winter weather advisory for parts of the region.

First things first: the advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday for Columbia, Dutchess and eastern Ulster counties.

People living there could see total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches, along with slippery road conditions and poor visibilities.

The NWS said that hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening commute.

While the morning's forecast still holds for 1 to 2 inches of snow for Westchester and Rockland and 1 to 3 inches in Putnam, according to the NWS, there is now a 20 percent chance of snow in the forecast Thursday night for the entire Hudson Valley.
