
Matthew "Jackie" Dunn, 80, of Katonah, and formerly of Yorktown Heights, NY died Saturday at the Sharon Health Care Center of Sharon, CT.
Dunn was born in the Bronx on July 30, 1931 to John A. and Nora Dunn. The family moved to Yorktown when he was 15 and he graduated from Yorktown High School. He was a former member of the Yorktown Fire Department.
He served with the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and retired after serving 20 years with the Air National Guard Reserves. Dunn joined the Westchester County Sherriff's Department in 1970, was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1975. In 1979 he transferred to the New York State Courts as a Court Officer and was assigned to the Westchester County Court House in White Plains. He retired from Law Enforcement in 1990.

He is survived by children, John of Somers, Timothy of Danbury, CT, Matthew (Holly) of Bedford, and Helen (Arthur) Piebes of Wappingers Falls; grandchildren Amanda and Melissa Piebes, Casey and Jesse Dunn; sister Theresa Foca of Pleasantville and former wife, Helen Baumberger of Chappaqua.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 18 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at , 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19 at St. Mary Of The Assumption Church, 117 Valley Road, Katonah. Burial will Follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Somers.
