Bedford Pop-Up Vaccine Site Will Offer Johnson & Johnson Shots
Bedford Supervisor MaryAnn Carr has announced a one-day-only mass vaccination event planned for April 12, at the Bedford Town Hall.
BEDFORD, NY — A vaccination event will be held on April 12, according to Bedford Town Supervisor MaryAnn Carr. The one-day-only pop-up vaccination site will offer the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccination only requires one dose. Unlike with the other approved vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer, those vaccinated on Monday will not need to immediately schedule a follow-up appointment to receive a second booster shot.
The pop-up vaccination event was made possible through a partnership with the Antioch Baptist Church. Although pop-up vaccination events are normally scheduled to make it easier for local residents of the community to attend, this vaccination event is open to all New York residents aged 18 and older.
