Bicyclist Struck, Killed In Pound Ridge
Police said they are still investigating the fatal accident.
POUND RIDGE, NY — A 70-year-old bicyclist from Connecticut was killed Saturday when he was struck by a van in the town of Pound Ridge. The New York State Police and the Pound Ridge Police Department said the accident happened around 1 p.m. on High Ridge Road.
Police said a 2014 Ford Econoline van, driven by Lorenzo Davis, 33, of the Bronx, was traveling south on High Ridge Road, when, for unknown reasons, he struck a bicyclist traveling on the same road.
The bicyclist was Thomas J. Schultz, 70, of New Canaan, Connecticut.

He was pronounced dead by a Pound Ridge emergency medical technician after life-saving efforts were not successful.
Pound Ridge Fire Department, the Westchester County Medial Examiner's Office and the Westchester County District Attorney's Office assisted with the incident.
