Caramoor Begins Fall Livestream Music Concerts
The fall series of livestream concerts starts this week from the iconic Music Room.

BEDFORD, NY — Caramoor begins a new series of livestream concerts this week from its Music Room, known for its intimate setting, historic furnishings and superior acoustics.
The fall series launches Friday with a performance by American singer-songwriter Amy Helm, a founding member of the alt-country collective Ollabelle and former member of the Midnight Ramble Band. This concert is presented in collaboration with City Winery.
The following week, on Oct. 2, Caramoor presents a livestream performance by New York Philharmonic principal clarinetist Anthony McGill, a recent recipient of the Avery Fisher Prize. He and pianist Gloria Chien, Director of Music at Menlo’s Chamber Music Institute, perform a program combining works by Brahms and Weber with Peace by Bernstein Award-winner Jessie Montgomery.

The majestic Music Room is in the Rosen Mansion on the Caramoor grounds. Worth a virtual peek, it includes Renaissance furniture and architectural elements such as the intricately carved coffered ceiling from a house in Lecce, Italy; a pair of pink marble twisted columns from Verona, once in the collection of William Randolph Hearst; Urbino maiolica; works by Della Robbia and Old Masters; and a magnificent Franco-Flemish Tapestry titled “The Holy Family.”
Tickets are just $10 (free for Caramoor members). Get them and more info here.
