Cub Scout Pack 170 of Bedford/Pound Ridge - Annual Pinewood Derby

Scouts host annual Pinewood Derby races with more than 30 hand carved cars

Cub Scout Pack 170 of Bedford/Pound Ridge hosted their annual Pinewood Derby race on Saturday at Conant Hall in Pound Ridge. There were more than 30 hand carved cars created by the scouts, ranging from 1st to 5th grades. Trophies were awarded for design and speed with first place awarded to Ethan Coppola (design), Jason Milito (cub class), and Natalie Desforges (open class). The track's record from 2018 remains with James Ronan....until 2020!

Special thanks to the Pound Ridge Recreation Department for the use of Conant Hall, Pound Ridge Troop 1 scouts for running the event and donating food, Tearl Bradley (Master of Ceremonies), and all the adult leaders and friends for making the day a great and fun success for the Cub Scouts.
