Downed Trees, Wires Snarling Traffic Throughout Hudson Valley
Before heading out, check for closures along your route.

In the wake of Tuesday’s severe storms, there are road closures throughout the Hudson Valley. North Ridge is closed between Sleepy Hollow and Fairlawn Parkway. Yorktown Police report that Baldwin Road at East Mohansic Avenue will be closed to traffic until at least noon Wednesday.
Fair Street in Carmel is closed.
The state Department of Transportation said that a downed tree and downed wires on Route 9 southbound north of Main Street in Fishkill. The ramp and left lane of two lanes are blocked between Linda Lane and Old Route 9.

In Somers, a downed tree and downed wires on NY 118 have closed lanes in both directions at Lounsbury Drive.
NY 35 is blocked in both directions in the area of Goldens Bridge Road, NY 22 in Bedford.

Travel restrictions have been lift in southern Dutchess County. But motorists are being advised to avoid the Route 9D area from Old Hopewell Road in Wappinger to Interstate 84 in Fishkill, as well as connecting roadways over to Route 9.
Multiple traffic signals are not functioning on Route 9 from Alpine Commons in Wappinger down to Route 84, including the intersection at Route 52 and at Route 84. Avoid the area of Route 52 and Red School House Road in Fishkill.
