Executive Director Leaving Bedford Playhouse

Nicole Gardner will continue to serve the playhouse in a consulting capacity for several months.

BEDFORD, NY — The Bedford Playhouse is losing its executive director. An email from the playhouse's board chair Sarah Long said Nicole Gardner will be leaving the organization.

"It is with both sadness and gratitude that I announce Nicole Gardner's departure as executive director of Bedford Playhouse," Long said. "Nicole has played a critical role in the establishment, growth and early success of the organization."

Gardner will continue to serve the playhouse in a consulting capacity for several months, Long said.

"We look forward to the next chapter as we continue to grow and bring the best in art, culture and cinema to our community," she said.

According to Long, Gardner oversaw tremendous growth and change at the playhouse, including opening it to the public with cinema and cultural offerings in all three theaters, establishing rich and varied programming, creating partnerships with dozens of neighboring organizations and businesses and inaugurating a successful membership program.
