Fire Spread Possible With Low Humidity, Dry Conditions
Wind gusts up to 30 mph could drive the spreading of fire if it gets started.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Because of low humidity and gusty winds, there is the risk of fire spread in parts of the Hudson Valley Thursday.
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement advising of elevated risk of fire spread Thursday afternoon.
A dry air mass will be in place Thursday, the weather service said, along with northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph.

The gusty winds, combined with low fuel moisture and relative humidity values from 30 to 35 percent, will aid in fire spread should ignition occur.
