Hudson Valley Snow: Winter Weather Advisories Issued
The National Weather Service said the snow will impact Monday morning's commute.

Winter weather advisories have been issued for the Hudson Valley in advance of the next snow storm to move through the region. The National Weather Service said the advisories are in effect for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties from 9 p.m. Sunday through 10 a.m. Monday.
An advisory is in effect from 9 p.m Sunday to 4 p.m. Monday for Dutchess and eastern Ulster counties.
For the lower Hudson Valley, the NWS said to expect snow and mixed precipitation. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches and ice of a light glaze are forecast.

Snowfall rates of 1/2 to 1 inch per hour are possible overnight, and motorists can plan on slippery road conditions.

The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute for those working or going to school on Presidents Day.
For the mid-Hudson Valley, total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected.
There are chances for some light freezing rain Monday morning with a glaze of ice accumulation possible.
Again, motorists should plan on slippery road conditions and poor visibility. Travel will be particularly hazardous overnight into Monday morning impacting the commute.
