Crane Removed Sign That Closed SB I-684 Sunday: UPDATE
A pickup truck hit the support for an overhead sign on the highway so hard that the structure had to be removed.

UPDATE: Southbound I-684 reopened in Bedford at 8 p.m., about 15 hours after a crash closed it just north of the Route 35 overpass.
The New York State Department of Transportation had to remove the Katonah/Cross River overhead sign because the damage to it was so severe. The crash occurred at about 5 a.m. A crane arrive to take down the whole structure at about 4 p.m.
BEDFORD, NY — I-684 is closed southbound, New York State police announced at 7:10 a.m. A crash that also included injuries involved an overhead sign structure that could collapse.
