Joan E. Renella​, 79, of Pound Ridge

POUND RIDGE, NY — Joan E. Renella (nee Ciccarelli), 79, of Pound Ridge, NY, and North Hutchinson Island, FL died peacefully on Monday, April 8 at her home in Pound Ridge with her husband and son at her side.

Joan was born in The Bronx July 29, 1939, to the late Joseph and Joan Ciccarelli. She was a seventh generation New Yorker, as her family on her mother’s side emigrated to Staten Island in 1810.

Joan is the beloved wife of James who she married on May 14, 1960. They have lived in Westchester since. She is also the loving mother of James J.

Joan was not only the heart of the family, but was also an indispensable figure in the family business, offering supportive advice whenever needed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 12 at St. Patricks RC Church, 7 Pound Ridge Road, Bedford, NY. Interment will follow at Middle Patent Rural Cemetery, Banksville, NY.
