John Jay Cross River came up just a little bit short Friday evening after a valiant effort in the Section I Class A final at Hendrick Hudson High School.
The Indians were ultimately defeated by the 18-1 Yorktown High School Huskers in a four-set battle: 21-25, 25-17, 21-25 and 24-26.
